Windsor Castle 10-Hour

The Windsor Castle 10-Hour is a timed multi-hour trail event at Windsor Castle Park in Smithfield, VA, organized by Lion's Pride Racing and scheduled for July 11, 2026. The venue address is 705 Cedar Street in Smithfield.

The course is a 3.1-mile loop with about 150 ft gain per lap. The trail is smooth and groomed, primarily packed dirt with some small packed gravel, and includes both shaded and exposed sections. There are two street crossings with minimal traffic and the course will be marked. Participants must carry a hydration device while on the course.

Distances offered:

• 10 hours
• 5 hours (Half Windsor)
• 2 hours (Mini Windsor)
• One-lap 5k

Rucking is permitted in the 10-, 5-, and 2-hour events. Required ruck weights are 30 lbs for participants 150 lbs or more, and 20 lbs for those under 150 lbs; exceptions can be requested from the race director.

An aid station will supply water, soda, chips, pretzels, watermelon, bananas, oranges, gummy snacks, granola bars, cookies, freeze pops, and warm foods such as potatoes and quesadillas during the day. Runners may set up chairs or tents no larger than 10x10 near the trail; there is ample space in the tent area.

Awards are given to the top three women and men in each event. All finishers receive a homemade finisher medal and a finisher item. In the event of a tie in miles, the award goes to the runner who covered the miles in the least time. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
