Windsor Castle 10-Hour
The Windsor Castle 10-Hour is a manually timed trail event held at Windsor Castle Park in Smithfield, VA. Participants run counterclockwise loops on a 5 km (about 3.1-mile) course that features varied terrain, technical sections, wooden bridges, exposed paved paths, and approximately 138 feet of elevation gain per loop. The course is open to the public, so non-race park users may be encountered on the route. The Start/Finish area is in the grassy field on the north end of the park and the loop includes two street crossings monitored by volunteers.

The event offers a rucking option for the 10-, 5-, and 2-hour formats with required ruck weights of 30 lbs for participants 150 lbs or more and 20 lbs for participants under 150 lbs. All participants must carry their own hydration; the event is cup-less and provides water, sports drinks, and a stocked aid station with a variety of food options. Lap counting is manual: runners call out their bib number and lap totals to volunteers after each loop, and only full loops count toward mileage. Awards are given to the top three women and men in each event, with a homemade finisher medal for all finishers. Teams of up to six members may be formed, and team mileage is recognized after the 10-hour events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
