Wildflower Run
The Wildflower Run takes place at the Pringle Nature Center within Bristol Woods County Park in Bristol, Wisconsin. This event is held during the peak wildfire viewing season, utilizing the natural terrain of the park. All entry fees directly support environmental education programming at the Pringle Nature Center, a non-profit organization.
Participants can choose between two primary options:
- 5K Trail Run: A dirt trail course through hilly terrain.
- 2 Miles: A fun run or hike option that overlaps with the trail route.
The routes consist of hilly dirt trails where potential tripping hazards are highlighted with spray paint for visibility. Both the 5K and the 2-mile hike follow these paths through the wooded landscape.
The event includes several amenities for those who participate. Snacks and refreshments are provided after the activity concludes. Participants who register by late April have the option to purchase t-shirts made of performance athletic material featuring the event logo, available in men's, women's, and youth sizes. Themed giveaways are also included. Awards are presented to the first overall male and female finishers, as well as the top male and female finishers in various age groups.
Registration is available online in advance or on-site during the morning of the event. All registrations are final and non-refundable as they serve as a fundraiser for the center. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
