Whiterock Ultra

Whiterock Ultra takes place at Whiterock Conservancy in Coon Rapids, Iowa. The event offers two trail ultramarathon distances that run on the conservancy’s marked loop system across its network of trails and public lands. Proceeds from the race are donated to Whiterock Conservancy.

The course is organized by named loops with published loop lengths and turn by turn descriptions. Named loops include Red, White and Blue, with individual loop distances of approximately 7.6 miles, 11.6 miles and 11.9 miles. There are two full aid stations that runners pass roughly every seven to eight miles.

The event overview lists approximate elevation gain for each distance and the loop composition for each race. The 50K uses the Red, White and Blue loops and has about 3,000 feet of climb. The 50 Mile uses two Red loops, two White loops and one Blue loop and has about 5,000 feet of climb.
