Westly's 9th Annual 5K : Overview
Westly's 9th Annual 5K takes place in Oakland, Florida from January 1 to January 31, 2026. The event offers two participation options: an in-person 5K (3.1 miles) along the West Orange Trail and a virtual 5K (3.1 miles) that can be completed anywhere during the event window. Both options have no registration fee.
The in-person event begins at the Healthy West Orange Arts & Heritage Center in the Town of Oakland, with check-in and warm-up activities provided before the race. After the in-person 5K, Healthy West Orange will host a Fresh Start Zone at Oakland Heritage Day featuring free fitness, nutrition, and wellbeing activities, live music, food trucks, and artisan vendors.
Logistics and Prizes
Virtual participants complete 3.1 miles at their own pace anytime between January 1 and January 31. The event uses an honor system for virtual finish verification; participants are invited to share finish-line photos.
T-shirts for in-person participants are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the event; sizes are limited and cannot be guaranteed. Virtual participants may pick up t-shirts at the Healthy West Orange building on February 5, first-come, first-served, with limited sizes. New medals are guaranteed only for in-person finishers; virtual participants may receive assorted medals from previous years.
