  • 50K

This is described as a low-key, no-frills event. Races are hand-timed (no timing chips). Courses are not certified and are not Boston Marathon qualifiers. There are no age-group awards, no event apparel, and the event is cupless.

Course and logistics

Courses use paved, urban run/bike trails that are flat and largely shaded. All distances are lap formats with clearly marked turnarounds and rubber bands available to track laps. Lap lengths and lap counts are approximately:

  • marathon/half/50K lap ~2.2 miles (marathon 12 laps, half 6 laps, 50K 14 laps plus two short laps)
  • 5K/10K lap ~1.55 miles (5K two laps, 10K four laps)

The only aid station is at the start/finish area and is passed twice each lap; chilled water, Gatorade, soda, and snacks will be provided, with additional items in hot weather. Participants must bring their own hydration device; a table will be available for bottles. Bathrooms are a short walk from the start/finish and are passed on each lap. Parking is at Cady Way Park (GPS N 28.59458, W -081.31670) with overflow nearby. The approximate time limit is 9.5 hours. Finishers should notify the timer or ring the bell so a hand time is recorded. Volunteers earn entry credit for a full volunteer day.
