Westcountry Ultra 100 Miler is a 100 mile point to point race in Somerset held on Saturday 9th to Sunday 10th May 2026. The route combines the Flat 50 and Hilly 50 courses, with the second half containing most of the elevation. Total elevation gain is approximately 9,538 ft and the official cut off is 32 hours.
The route follows a variety of signed trails and paths including the Taunton to Bridgwater canal path, the River Parrett Trail, the England Coast Path and the South West Coast Path. Other sections are marked with red and white tape and arrow signs. A GPX file is provided with race information for those who wish to recce the route. For safety, the race will use tracking introduced in 2025 and professional medics will cover the event.
There are 13 aid stations and the event operates a cupless policy, so runners must carry bottles and a cup if they want drinks at aid points. Typical aid station supplies include water, coke, squash, sandwiches, crisps, fruit, nuts and other snacks. Drop bags are allowed at the halfway aid station but must be small. Pacers are permitted from the halfway point at West Somerset College. Support crews are allowed with guidelines on respectful parking and conduct.
Recommended personal kit includes a waterproof jacket, hat, gloves, spare base layer, headtorch with spare batteries, high visibility clothing for night, whistle, compass, charged mobile phone and at least one 500 ml water bottle. Awards include a trophy for the first male and first female finishers and a medal for all finishers. Entry fee is listed as £100.
