The Westcountry Ultra 100 Miler takes place on 9-10 May 2026 in Somerset. The route combines the Flat 50 and Hilly 50 into a single 100-mile course with a listed elevation of 9,538 ft. Entry fee is £100. The race has a 32 hour cut-off and tracking will be used for the event in 2025. There are 13 aid stations and the event operates on a cupless basis, so runners must carry their own bottle or cup.
Course and logistics
The start location is Canal Road, Taunton, TA1 1PN and the finish is West Somerset College, Bircham Road, Minehead, TA24 6AY. Professional medics cover the race. Coach transport from the finish to registration in Taunton is available for an additional £3 per runner. Pacers are allowed from the halfway point at West Somerset College. Small drop bags are permitted at the halfway aid station.
The route follows sections of the Taunton to Bridgwater canal path, the River Parrett Trail, the England Coast Path and the South-West Coast Path; other sections are marked with tape and arrow signs. A GPX file will be sent with race information. Recommended kit includes a waterproof jacket, headtorch with spare batteries, high-vis clothing for night, a whistle, a charged mobile phone and at least one 500 ml water bottle.
