War Eagle Trail Races
The Hobbs War Eagle Trail Races are an annual trail running event held at Hobbs State Park in northwest Arkansas. The 21st edition is scheduled for June 6, 2026. The races are organized by Rush Running Co. and include multiple distance options.
The event began in 2006 as a 10 mile trail race originally known as the Hobbs Tail Twister and benefited the Rogers Lions Club. Over time it expanded and has donated more than $100,000 to the Rogers Lions Club and the Friends of Hobbs.
Hobbs State Park is described as Arkansas’ largest state park and is on land that is the ancestral home of the Osage, Choctaw, Quawpaw and later the Cherokee. The organizers acknowledge and respect the First Nations connection to this land.
The trails at Hobbs are described as among the most runnable in northwest Arkansas, not too technical or steep. The course descriptions note that the terrain can suit first time trail racers as well as runners aiming for faster times on runnable singletrack.
