Village Creek Trail Run

The Village Creek Trail Run takes place within Village Creek State Park in Lumberton, Texas. Participants can choose between two race distances:

  • 5 km
  • 10 km

The course is set inside a state park environment, featuring shaded pine forests and soft dirt trails. The terrain includes quiet creek crossings and varied surfaces that range from flat and fast sections to technical areas with exposed roots. These trails provide a natural environment characteristic of East Texas.

An aid station is available for participants at the intersection of the Village Slough Outer Loop and the Longleaf Loop. This station provides water, electrolytes, and fruit. All finishers of either distance receive a race shirt and a finisher medal. Special prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in both the 5 km and 10 km categories.

Financial proceeds from the event support NMA, a nonprofit organization. The organization works with law enforcement and advocacy groups to recover missing and exploited children through outreach and crisis response efforts.

Registration packet pickup is organized for the evening before the event at Lumberton City Park, or on the morning of the race at the park site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
