Vale of Three Falls 5k | 10k | 15k

The Vale of Three Falls takes place in Letchworth State Park at the Parade Grounds. This event is part of the Sehgahunda Trail Marathon weekend and offers three distinct distances on Sunday, May 17, 2026. The name Sehgahunda is derived from the Seneca People's term for the region, meaning Vale of Three Falls, which refers to the portion of the Genesee River Valley where the event is held.

Participants can choose from three distances, each designed as an out and back course starting and finishing at the Parade Grounds:

  • Lower Falls 5k
  • Middle Falls 10k
  • Upper Falls 15k

The course follows East Parade Grounds Road, which consists of a seasonal service road with surfaces of stone, gravel, or broken asphalt. The terrain is characterized by significant hills and provides views of the Genesee River. The event operates with cup-free aid stations; the 5k includes one station, the 10k features three stations, and the 15k has five stations. Participants in the 10k and 15k are required to carry their own hydration equipment.

Registration includes an event-specific short-sleeve shirt and a finisher medal for each race. Participants who complete all three distances receive all three shirts and medals. Post-race food and drinks are provided at the finish line. Parking is available on-site at the Parade Grounds, within walking distance of the start and finish areas.
