Event overview
The Vale of Three Falls takes place on May 17, 2026 at Letchworth State Park, based at the Parade Grounds. The event offers three distances:
- Lower Falls 5K
- Middle Falls 10K
- Upper Falls 15K
All races are out-and-back courses that begin and finish at the Parade Grounds.
Course and logistics
Each course runs along East Parade Grounds Road and uses a seasonal gravel/service road with sections of stone, gravel, or broken asphalt. The route is described as hilly and includes multiple scenic overlooks with views of the Genesee River. Aid station counts by distance:
- 5K: 1 aid station
- 10K: 3 aid stations
- 15K: 5 aid stations
The weekend features cup-free aid stations. Participants in the 10K and 15K (and Sehgahunda 26.3 events) are required to carry hydration while on course. Parking is available at the Parade Grounds. Early packet pickup is offered at Fleet Feet at The Armory in Rochester, with additional pickup at the Parade Grounds Lodge on race day.
Awards and included items
Post-race food and drinks are provided for all events. Event shirts are provided, with a shirt guarantee for registrations before May 1. Awards:
- 5K: Overall male/female and 1st place male/female in 10-year age groups
- 10K: Top 5 male/female overall
- 15K: Top 3 male/female overall
