Event overview

The Zion Ultras is a multi-distance trail race held on April 11, 2026, in Apple Valley, Utah, adjacent to Zion National Park. The event is based at Ruby Rider Ranch, which also serves as the expo, start, finish, and the official campground. Expo bib pickup is scheduled the day before the race on April 10 with listed expo hours.

• 100K (exact mileage: 61 miles; overall cutoff: 22 hours)
• 60K (exact mileage: 41.5 miles; overall cutoff: 13 hours)
• 30K (exact mileage: 18.9 miles; overall cutoff: 7 hours)
• Trail Half Marathon (exact mileage: 13.6 miles; overall cutoff: 5 hours)

All courses run on technical dirt trails, singletrack, slickrock, and some paved sections near mesas and desert canyons. Multiple distances loop or use out-and-back sections that pass aid stations more than once.

Logistics and rules

Aid stations provide water, sports drink, fresh fruit, salty and sweet items, soda, and portable toilets; later stations add basic medical supplies, sunscreen, and electrolyte products. Aid stations close according to posted minimum pace times and may be unstocked after closure. Ultras may use labeled drop bags; 100 mile, 100K, and 60K drop bags must be left by 8:00 PM the night before the race. The event is cup-free; runners should use reusable hydration. Crew and pacer permissions vary by distance: none for the half and 30K; crew only for the 60K; crew and pacers allowed for the 100K and 100 mile with registration and visible bibs.
