Tuscaloosa Gauntlet

Tuscaloosa Gauntlet is the sixth annual obstacle course event organized by Tuscaloosa County Park & Recreation Authority (PARA), Tuscaloosa Tourism & Sports (Visit Tuscaloosa), and the Alabama Marines Foundation. It takes place over two days, April 9-10, 2027, at 4205 Northridge Road, Tuscaloosa, AL 35406.

The course includes more than 20 obstacles and features a Marine regulation O-Course. The layout will differ from the previous year and will include new obstacles.

Event formats include competitive, open, and team heats, plus several children's races held in separate age categories. A kids' race is scheduled during packet pickup on the evening of April 9, coinciding with a family night that will include food trucks.

Distances offered at the event include:

• 1 mile for children's race categories
• 4 miles for many individual and team heats

One team category specifies participants aged 12 to 22. The event program groups competitors by age and by heat type to accommodate children and adult competitors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
