The Tulare Santa Fe Trail-A-Thon is an annual community event hosted by the Tulare Sunrise Rotary Club. Now in its 23rd year, the race serves as a fundraiser for the club’s High School Scholarship Program, which provides financial support for college and trade school to local high school seniors.

The event features a single distance:

  • 5k Run/Walk

The course starts and finishes at Live Oak Park in Tulare, California, utilizing the Santa Fe Trail for a scenic route. The race is professionally timed, and participants may register online or onsite on the morning of the event.

All finishers receive a commemorative medal, a lanyard, and a Rotary participant pin. Competition is divided into several categories, with age group medals awarded to the top male and female finishers in brackets ranging from 9 & under to 60+. Distinct trophies and gift cards are presented to the overall fastest male and female runners. The registration fee contributes to the cost of the medals and the timing system.
