Tuff Tornado Run
The Tuff Tornado Run is scheduled for September 26, 2026 at Alameda Park in Butler, Pennsylvania. The event features a two mile course that includes twenty two obstacles, such as a mud pit, foam run and a car wash. The event is planned to proceed rain or shine. Runners, walkers and teams are invited to participate.
Pre registration fees are listed as $15 for ages 5 to 12, $20 for ages 13 and older, and $50 for a family of up to six members. Pre registering by Sunday, September 6 secures a free t shirt; additional shirts will be available for purchase on race day. On site registration is available on race day with different fees: $20 for ages 5 to 12, $25 for ages 13 and older, and $55 for a family up to six. Team entries require that all team members sign up at the same time.
Packet pickup is available on race day. The run will be chip timed using premium disposable bib chips provided by the timing company. Food trucks and restroom facilities will be available in the park. A 50/50 raffle is planned. The event is sponsored by the Golden Tornado Scholastic Foundation, Inc., with proceeds supporting Butler Area School District programs including a weekend backpack program, creative teaching grants, technology and other scholastic projects.
