Course, logistics and community support
The course uses a series of loops that start and finish at the carpark, returning runners to the same point several times. Terrain varies from flat wooded bike trails to open rocky mountain trails and includes a steep ascent with views from Flinders Peak across Port Philip Bay. A runners information PDF is available and will be emailed to competitors. Bibs are not mailed; collection is on the morning of the race. Ticketing is handled through the Humanitix system; listed prices include GST and booking fees from Humanitix are added at checkout. Trailsplus donates $1 per participant to Canteen. As an update, in 2024 the event had 585 competitors and combined donations totalled $653 to Canteen. Maps and downloadable route files are available on the event page.
