You Yangs Trail Running Festival
The You Yangs Trail Running Festival takes place on 18 and 19 July 2026 at 10 Branch Rd, Little River VIC 3221. The event is the second of five races in the Trailsplus Mountain Trail series and offers a range of trail distances across varying terrain.
The course uses a series of loops that start and return to the carpark, allowing supporters to see runners multiple times. Trails vary from flat wooded bike trails to open rocky mountain trails with viewpoints such as Flinders Peak.
Distance options include:
- Saturday: 21 km, 42 km, 100 km, 100 mi
- Sunday: 5 km, 15 km, 30 km, 50 km
Course maps and downloadable GPX and CRS files are provided for each distance. Aid station locations and separate carpark maps are available among the published maps.
Entry fees are published for multiple registration periods (super, early bird, standard, late) and vary by distance; tickets will also be available for purchase on race day at higher prices. Trailsplus does not mail bibs; bib collection takes place on the morning of the race.
Trailsplus donates $1 for each participant to Canteen. Total donations have exceeded $80,000. In 2025 there were 608 competitors (rounded to 620) and $700 donated to Canteen including $80 in online donations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
