You Yangs Trail Running Festival

The You Yangs Trail Running Festival is scheduled for 18 to 19 July 2026 at 10 Branch Road, Little River VIC 3221. The event is part of the Trailsplus Mountain Trail series and is the second of five races in that series.

Distances offered include:

  • 5 km
  • 15 km
  • 21 km
  • 30 km
  • 42 km
  • 50 km
  • 100 km
  • 100 mile

The course runs through varying terrain, from flat wooded bike trails to open rocky mountain tracks. There is a steep ascent to Flinders Peak with views across Port Phillip Bay for runners who reach that point. Courses are organised as loops that start and finish at the carpark so competitors return to the same location several times during a race.

Event materials such as course maps, GPX and CRS files are provided for each distance. Bibs are not mailed; bib collection takes place on the morning of the race. Prices listed for entries include GST and additional ticketing fees are applied at checkout. Tickets are available on race day at a higher price.

Trailsplus donates one dollar per participant to Canteen, the Australian organisation for young people living with cancer. Trailsplus donations have surpassed eighty thousand dollars. In 2025 there were 608 competitors, and a total of seven hundred dollars was donated to Canteen from that event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
