Trail Run Australia Tathra is a multi distance trail running festival on the Sapphire Coast centred at Race HQ, Tathra Surf Life Saving Club, 6 Andy Poole Drive, Tathra. The weekend is part of the Tathra MultiSport Festival and includes a mix of coastal and inland courses that pass beaches, coastal forests, clifftops and estuaries. Courses may change subject to approvals and conditions.
The event features:
- TRA30 30 km Merimbula to Tathra Wharf course
- TRA18 18 km coastal course from Hobart Beach Campground
- TRA7 7 km lap from Kangarutha Farm
- TRA2.5 2.5 km Family Beach Run along the foreshore
Aid stations are positioned on course and offer water and sports nutrition from partners. The event operates as a cupless race so athletes must carry a cup, bottle or hydration pack for refills. Compulsory equipment lists apply and equipment checks take place before the races; random checks on course may incur time penalties or disqualification for missing items. Bus transfers are available from Race HQ to the various start locations. Medical and first aid personnel are deployed at Race HQ and staffed checkpoints along the routes.
