Start locations vary by distance (for example TRA28 starts at Short Point Recreation Reserve, TRA16 at Hobart Beach Campground, shorter races start in Tathra). Race HQ facilities include a pop-up cafe, bar and public amenities. Registration and compulsory equipment checks are held before the event (TRA28 registration is required on the Friday before the race; other distances may register Friday or on race morning). Compulsory equipment lists apply and random on-course checks carry penalties. The event is cupless: athletes must carry a cup, bottle or hydration system.
