Tom Sawyer's Trial by Trail is a 10K trail race scheduled for October 17, 2026, in Hannibal, Missouri. This is the second edition of the event and it takes place in and around the Sodalis Nature Preserve.

The course includes technical single track, double-wide dirt paths, and paved walking trails. The route features notable elevation gain and varied terrain that mixes narrow single track with wider trail sections.

Competition categories and awards include a M/F Masters Division (age 40+), ten-year age groups with top male and female awards in each group, and cash prizes. Overall male and female winners receive $100 each. There is a $50 cash bounty on the male and female course records for the top overall times in each gender. The event enforces a three hour cutoff.

Registration fees are specified by date: $45 through August 31, $50 through September 30, and $55 from October 1 to October 12. Registration closes on Monday, October 12 at 11:59 PM CT.
