Tideland 24 - Cedar Point, NC
Tideland 24 is a fully supported 24-hour ultramarathon held in the Croatan National Forest near Cedar Point, North Carolina. The event uses the Tideland National Recreation Trail, a USATF certified 1.37779 mile loop that follows the White Oak River and adjacent salt marsh and forest.
The loop includes aluminum and wooden bridges and a well-groomed crushed gravel surface with minimal trip hazards and elevation gain. Participants cover as many laps of the loop as they choose within the 24-hour period. Awards are presented for Top 3 Male and Female performances and for Top Active Duty. Runners who complete 100 miles receive a 100 Mile belt buckle.
All proceeds benefit the Marine Raider Foundation; the event has raised over $39,000 to date. In 2026 the race partners with the MILES FOR MARSOC Community Athlete Program; participants who raise funds through that program may have their entry fee waived. The event operates as a non-profit and donates every dollar, after costs, to the Marine Raider Foundation. No deferrals, transfers, or refunds are offered.
The course runs through a changing tidal landscape with abundant wildlife and scenic views along the river and marsh. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
