Tideland 24 is a fully supported 24-hour ultramarathon held in Cedar Point, North Carolina. The event takes place at the Tideland Trailhead on Croatan Forest Road. Registration for the 2026 event opens on January 1, 2026 at 12:00 AM ET.
Course and format
Participants run laps on the Tideland National Recreation Trail, a USATF certified 1.37779 mile loop that runs along the White Oak River, salt marsh, and adjoining forest. The loop includes various aluminum and wooden bridges and a well-groomed trail surface of crushed gravel with minimal trip hazards and little elevation gain. All laps completed during the 24-hour period count toward each participant’s total. Runners who reach 100 miles receive a 100 Mile belt buckle.
Awards, partners, and policies
Awards are given for Top 3 male and Top 3 female overall performances and for Top Active Duty performances. The event donates net proceeds to the Marine Raider Foundation; the event reports having raised over $39,000 to date. In 2026 the event partners with the MILES FOR MARSOC Community Athlete Program; fundraiser participants may be eligible for an entry fee waiver.
