Tideland 24 (November 1, 2025)
Tideland 24 is a fully supported, 24-hour ultramarathon held at the Tideland Trailhead in Cedar Point, North Carolina, within the Croatan National Forest. The course uses the Tideland National Recreation Trail, a USATF certified loop of 1.37779 miles, that follows the White Oak River and adjoining salt marsh and forest. The trail surface is well-groomed crushed gravel with minimal trip hazards and minimal elevation gain. The route includes several aluminum and wooden bridges. Tidal changes and local wildlife are noted features along the course.
Charity, awards and programs
All proceeds benefit the Marine Raider Foundation; the event reports having raised over $35,000 to date. The race operates as a non-profit and donates net proceeds to that foundation. Awards are given for Top 3 Male and Female finishers and Top Active Duty performances. Participants who complete 100 miles receive a 100 Mile belt buckle. In 2025 the event partners with the MILES FOR MARSOC Community Athlete Program; participants who raise funds for the Marine Raider Foundation may be eligible for an entry fee waiver.
