Tideland 24

Cedar Point, United States • 7 Nov 2026

Event overview

Tideland 24 is a fully supported 24-hour ultramarathon held in the Croatan National Forest near Cedar Point, North Carolina. The event is organized as a nonprofit and donates all proceeds, after costs, to the Marine Raider Foundation. To date, the event has raised over $39,000 for that foundation. Awards are presented for Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female overall performances and a Top Active Duty performance. Participants who complete 100 miles receive a 100 Mile belt buckle. No deferrals, transfers, or refunds are offered.

Course and support

The race uses the Tideland National Recreation Trail, a USATF certified loop of 1.37779 miles. The loop follows the White Oak River and adjacent salt marsh and forest, and includes aluminum and wooden bridges. The trail surface is described as crushed gravel with minimal trip hazards and minimal elevation gain. Wildlife is commonly seen around the marsh and the course is affected by changing tides. In 2026 the event partnered with the MILES FOR MARSOC Community Athlete Program; participants who raise funds for the Marine Raider Foundation may have their entry fee waived, and are instructed to contact the Race Director for details.
