Tideland 24
Tideland 24 is a fully supported 24 hour ultramarathon held in Cedar Point, NC, on the Tideland Trailhead along Croatan Forest Road. The course follows the Tideland National Recreation Trail and runs beside the White Oak River through adjoining salt marsh and forest.
The event uses a USATF certified 1.37779 mile loop. The trail surface is well groomed crushed gravel with minimal trip hazards and little elevation gain. The loop includes several bridges made of aluminum and wood.
Organizers present awards for Top 3 male and Top 3 female finishers and recognize Top Active Duty performances. Participants who complete 100 miles receive a 100 Mile belt buckle. The event operates as a nonprofit; all net proceeds are donated to the Marine Raider Foundation. To date, the event has raised over $39,000 for that organization.
In 2026 the race partners with the MILES FOR MARSOC Community Athlete Program; participants who raise funds for the Marine Raider Foundation may have their entry fee waived and should contact the Race Director for details.
