Texoma's Hellacious Obstacle Run
T.H.O.R. is an obstacle course event held at Lucy Park in Wichita Falls, Texas. The event features a course that starts and ends at a central village area where food, beverages, and music are available for both participants and spectators. The main route includes more than 20 separate obstacles, with new additions introduced to the layout annually.
Participants can choose from different categories based on their goals:
- 5K Competitive Wave
- 5K Non-Competitive Waves
- 1 Mile Kid's Event (ages 4-12)
The 5K course is designed to allow individuals to move at their own pace, with walking permitted throughout the route. Most obstacles include a bypass option for those who prefer not to complete a specific section. Teamwork and cooperation between participants are encouraged during the run.
The youth event takes place on a separate course specifically built for children. This mile-long route is dedicated to younger participants while the adults navigate the primary course. All proceeds from the event are used to support two local non-profit organizations: Wichita Falls Streams & Valleys and Leadership Wichita Falls.
