The Wirral Summer Trail Series - May

The Wirral Summer Trail Series is a recurring running event held at Wirral Country Park. The May edition is part of a larger series that takes place on the third Tuesday of every month from April through August. The event is based at the Visitor Centre on Station Road and utilizes the same trail course for each installment in the series.

Participants compete on a course with a distance of approximately 8 km. The event is open to all runners who are at least 16 years of age on the day of the race. Registration is available for the individual May event or as part of a discounted package for the full five-race series.

The competition features a variety of age categories for both male and female runners, including Under 18, Under 20, and several veteran classifications ranging from Over 40 to Over 70. Trophies are awarded based on performance across the series, specifically looking at a runner's best four out of five race positions. Runners who complete at least four of the five races in the series are eligible for a T-shirt. Proceeds from the event support the organization Running Headfirst.
