The Wirral Summer Trail Series - May

The Wirral Summer Trail Series is a five race trail series held on the third Tuesday of each month from April to August at Wirral Country Park. The series for 2026 includes dates in April, May, June, July and August, all using the same course from the Visitor Centre at Wirral Country Park Centre, Station Road, CH61 0HN, United Kingdom.

Races are approximately 8K and the competition is open to runners aged 16 and over. Individual series awards are based on each runner's best four scores from the five races. In the case of equal points the higher placing in the fifth race decides the tie, or the fourth race if neither athlete competes in the final race. Trophies will be awarded for the series as a whole and there are overall individual awards for the best three females and the best three males.

Age categories for individuals are listed as Female: U18, U20, O.40, O45, O.50, O55, O60, O65, 070 and Male: U18, U20, O.40, O45, O.50, O55, O60, O65, 070. Entry is offered per race at £16 or £64 for the whole series. Entries are taken online and a t shirt is included for participants who complete four out of five races. Full results are published after each event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
