Event overview

The Trail Running Series is a sequence of three trail races held on Sundays at wilderness locations within about 90 minutes of Melbourne. Each event offers multiple course lengths and an event village with an expo, live music, barista coffee, food trucks, free sports beer and massage services. The series includes a social handicap format at Silvan and a new venue in Blackwood for 2025.

  • 31 May 2026 - Blackwood: 7.9km, 15.8km, 22km
  • 5 July 2026 - Anglesea: 8km, 15km, 28km, Friendly 4km
  • 2 August 2026 - Silvan: 7km, 15km, 22km

Entry and capacity

Field limits permit up to 500 runners in each race distance at each event. Entry fees for 2026 vary by distance and registration period: Long course $72/$82/$94, Medium course $62/$72/$83, Short course $54/$59/$74, Friendly 4 Adult $26/$31/$37, Friendly 4 Kids under 15 $13/$14/$16 (early/base/late). A "Gold Runner" option is available for entrants who register for all three events by Race 1 (1 June 2025); Gold Runners receive 10% off their race entry, a special limited edition gold race plate, and two branded gifts for the first 350 Gold entrants. Join Bay to Surf in Portsea on 16 January 2026 for scenic coastal runs from Jarman Oval through Point Nepean National Park to the Portsea Surf Life Saving Club. Choose 9 km, 4.5 km run or 4.5 km walk for a fun, family friendly day.
