The Ribbon 200
Event overview
The Ribbon 200 runs June 10 to 14, 2026 in the Blue Mountains and nearby Bruce Trail sections around Ravenna, Ontario. The event offers multiple route options:
- 200 Mile - out and back
- 100 Mile - point-to-point
- E2E Blue Mountains - 72.5 km
The 200 Mile is described as Ontario’s newest 200 miler and the province’s only point-to-point 100 miler. The 200 Mile route is closest to Toronto by under two hours; the 100 Mile start is about 45 minutes north of Toronto.
Course, support and logistics
The course follows the Blue Mountains, Dufferin Hi-Land and Caledon Hills sections of the Bruce Trail and is marked using Bruce Trail white blazes only. Terrain includes singletrack, double track, gravel roads and significant climbing. Approximate elevation gains listed:
- 200 Mile: about 7,500 m / 24,000 ft
- 100 Mile: about 3,700 m / 12,000 ft
- E2E 72.5k: about 1,500 m / 4,900 ft
Support includes 11–13 fully stocked aid stations with hot food, 4–5 sleep stations and 3–5 unmanned water stations (weather dependent). Time limits are given per distance (for example, the 200 Mile has a 100-hour limit and the 100 Mile has a 30-hour limit). Pacers are allowed for the 200 and 100 Mile events with restrictions - pacers must start at specified aid stations, carry required gear, and cannot carry items for runners. Required gear examples include a headlamp, rain jacket, 2 L hydration, phone with tracking app, backup battery and whistle. Fundraising bib options and a payment plan for the 200 Mile are available.
