The Pena Passage - Lagoon Valley Trail Race

The Pena Passage is a trail running event at Lagoon Valley Park in Vacaville, California, presented by Altra. It offers marked courses over the park's rolling hills, single-track trails, fire roads, and views of the lagoon and oak groves.

Distances include:

  • 30K - a long course with technical trails, climbs and descents
  • 10K - mixed terrain with some elevation and scenic viewpoints
  • 5K - shorter route with gentle terrain and single-track sections
  • Kids 1K - a short untimed fun run for young participants

Each course is marked and supported with aid stations placed along the routes. Aid station supplies may include electrolyte drink, water, energy gels and chews, bananas, watermelon, pretzels, Oreo cookies, and M&M's.

The Kids Fun Run is a playful short route that emphasizes participation and finish-line energy rather than competition.

Race shirts are long sleeve technical tees with sun defense and moisture-wicking fabric. To be guaranteed a shirt and a specific size, registration must be completed by May 15, 2026.

The event partners with NAMI Solano County, a local mental health service charity. Packet pickup is scheduled at Fleet Feet Vacaville on 6/12/26 and at Lagoon Valley Park on 6/13/26. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
