The Next Loop Endurance Series - Lake Carl Blackwell, Stillwater, OK
This event uses a loop-based endurance format on a clearly marked 3.1-mile (5K) trail loop at Lake Carl Blackwell Park in Stillwater, OK. Runners may start a new lap each hour and decide after each loop whether to continue, with each completed lap adding to their total distance.
Distances are built loop by loop:
- 1 loop = 5K
- 2 loops = 10K
- 4 loops = Half Marathon
- 9 loops = Marathon
- 10 loops = 50K
Loop timing is recorded for each hour-long circuit and final results are ranked by the number of loops completed and combined total time. There are no race penalties or fixed cutoffs; participants may stop at any point and keep the distance they have completed. An aid station is available at the central base area before each loop to provide hydration and basic nutrition, and the centralized format makes it easy for friends, family, and crew to support between laps.
