The Maverick Suffolk Gravel 2026

The Maverick Suffolk Gravel run takes place on Saturday 28 November 2026 at Wantisden Hall, Wantisden Park, Fenn Row, Woodbridge, IP12 3PQ in the Suffolk Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The route runs through unspoilt woodland and coastal AONB landscape that includes several National Nature Reserves and Sites of Special Scientific Interest.

There are three waymarked distances to choose from:

  • 23 km Half Marathon, elevation gain +118 m
  • 16 km Middle route, elevation gain +69 m
  • 9 km Short route, elevation gain +58 m

Routes are described as generally flat and fast, using easy forest trails with some sandy sections. Outposts are provided on the Middle and Half Marathon routes (approximately at 6 km and 11 km for Middle; 6 km and 18 km for Half) offering snacks, gels and electrolyte; there is no outpost on the Short route. Toilets are available at the event start and finish only.

Event facilities listed include free parking, a fully marked course, timing and online results, event photography, bag drop and a finishers medal. The event is dog friendly if a dog is added to the entry. Organisers aim for cup-free outposts and ask participants to bring a reusable cup or bottle. Runners are asked to finish within four hours to help limit marshal time on course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
