The Maverick Suffolk Gravel 2026 is a trail running event on Saturday 28 November 2026 at Wantisden Hall, Fenn Row, Wantisden, Woodbridge (IP12 3PQ) within the Suffolk Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The event is held offline and is organised by Maverick Race. Free parking is available at the venue.

Routes

Participants can choose from three routes:

  • 9 km (Short)
  • 16 km (Middle)
  • 23 km (Half Marathon)

Elevation gains are provided for each route: Short +58 m, Middle +69 m, Half Marathon +118 m. GPX and mapping files are available for each route.

Facilities and on-course support

There will be toilets at the start and finish location. Outposts:

  • Short route: no outpost.
  • Middle route: two outposts (approx. 6 km and 11 km).
  • Half Marathon: two outposts (approx. 6 km and 18 km).

Outposts offer snack items, gels and electrolyte. Water is served from self-serve barrels; participants should bring a reusable cup or bottle. Event photography, online results, a finishers medal, fully marked course and bag drop are provided.

Rules and logistics

Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult. The organiser requests that runners follow on-course signage and marshals, take care when crossing roads, close gates and avoid littering. Headphones are strongly discouraged. Trail runs nearby

Run a scenic 10K in historic Lavenham, following an old railway line through woods, streams and quiet country roads with possibly splashy winter underfoot. Finisher medals and podium trophies for the top three men and women.

Tackle the 48 mile Peddars Way Ultra from Knettishall Heath to Holme on the Norfolk coast along mostly flat, waymarked country trails. GPS tracking, aid stations and an optional shuttle make this a supported, atmospheric long run.

Run the picturesque grounds of Haughley Park on 12 April 2026 with distances from 5k to ultra for all abilities. Limited to 300 runners, the event features lap formats, a bespoke finisher medal and a friendly community atmosphere.

Enjoy coastal off road trails at the Heritage Coast Run in Thorpeness, Suffolk, with 10k, 10k canicross and a half marathon. Wave starts, beach turnarounds and sea views make it a scenic charity challenge for all levels.
