The Maverick Suffolk Gravel is a trail running event taking place on 28 November 2026 at Wantisden Hall in Woodbridge, Suffolk. The event takes runners through the Suffolk Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which contains three National Nature Reserves and many Sites of Special Scientific Interest.

Distances

Three route distances are available:

  • Half Marathon: 23 km with +118 m elevation
  • Middle: 16 km with +69 m elevation
  • Short: 9 km with +58 m elevation

All routes are described as flat and follow forest trails, with some sandy sections.

Event Details

The event village is located at Wantisden Hall. Parking is free. The event is dog-friendly, but a specific dog entry must be added during registration. The event operates a plastic-free policy, so participants must bring their own reusable cup or bottle for refilling at aid stations.

Aid stations, or outposts, provide sweet and savoury snacks, gels, electrolyte drinks, and self-serve water. There are two outposts on the Middle and Half Marathon routes. There is no outpost on the Short route. Toilets are only available at the start/finish area.
