The Maverick Suffolk Gravel 2026

The Maverick Suffolk Gravel takes place on 28 November 2026 at Wantisden Hall, Fenn Row, Wantisden, Woodbridge IP12 3PQ. The event runs within the Suffolk Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, an area that includes national nature reserves and Sites of Special Scientific Interest.

Routes follow forest and gravel trails that are described as very flat with some sandy sections. Three route options are available:

  • 23 km Half Marathon
  • 16 km Middle
  • 9 km Short

Outposts are provided as top-up points rather than full aid stations. There is no outpost on the Short route. The Middle route has two outposts at approximately 6 km and 11 km. The Half Marathon has two outposts at approximately 6 km and 18 km. Outposts offer sweet and savoury snacks, gels and electrolyte. Water is served from self-serve barrels so participants should bring a reusable cup or bottle; pre-filled cups will not be provided. Toilets are available at the start and finish location only.

The course is fully marked and fully timed, with online results and event photography. Free parking and a bag drop area are provided at the venue. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult. Organisers ask that all runners finish within four hours to help reduce pressure on marshals.
