The Maverick Jurassic Coast Trail 2026, Corfe

The event is held at Burnbake Forest Lodges and Campsite near Corfe Castle on the Isle of Purbeck, taking in part of the Jurassic Coast. Routes are waymarked and the site offers free parking and venue facilities.

The available routes include:

  • Half Marathon: 24 km, +395 m, outpost at about 9 km
  • Middle: 12 km, +105 m, no outpost
  • Short: 6 km, +35 m, no outpost

The half marathon route runs toward the coast and passes Old Harry's Rocks, following sections of the Purbeck Way along coastal ridgelines. The course includes technical terrain with long steep climbs and descents.

Event services include fully timed results, online results, event photography, food and drink, and a metal finishers medal. Precision fuel and hydration outposts supply snacks, gels and electrolyte drink where provided; the event aims to be cup free so participants are asked to bring a reusable cup or bottle. The event is dog friendly; dogs must be added to an entry to participate.

Participants are asked to follow course signage and marshals, take care at road crossings, close gates and avoid littering. Runners are strongly advised to carry at least 1 litre of water, a raincoat, a foil blanket and a mobile phone. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
