The Maverick Jurassic Coast Trail 2026
The event takes place at Burnbake Forest Lodges and Campsite near Corfe Castle, Wareham, Dorset, on part of the Jurassic Coast and the Isle of Purbeck. Organisers offer multiple marked trail routes with route files available in GPX, RideWithGPS and OS Maps formats.
Routes and measured details:
- Half Marathon: 24 km, elevation gain +395 m
- Middle: 12 km, elevation gain +105 m
- Short: 6 km, elevation gain +35 m
The course includes technical terrain with long steep climbs and descents. Outposts are provided as follows: none on the Short or Middle routes, and one outpost on the Half Marathon at about 9 km. Outposts provide a range of sweet and savoury snacks, gels and electrolyte drink; there will not be prefilled water cups, so participants should bring a reusable cup or bottle and use self-serve water barrels.
Additional event details include free parking at the venue, full course marking, timing with online results, event photography, food and drink on site, a metal finishers medal and availability of non alcoholic beer. Entries have an online closing date and may be available on the day if not sold out. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
