The Mangy Coyote Backyard Ultra

The Mangy Coyote is a backyard ultra held at Trenton Park in Nova Scotia. The event is a fundraiser for the Pictou County United Way. The format is simple: over a 13 hour period runners complete a loop and repeat it until the timed portion ends or they withdraw.

Loop distance is to be confirmed but is estimated at 4 to 6 km with roughly 40 to 60 m of elevation gain. The course combines groomed double wide gravel trails and technical singletrack. An aid station will provide hydration and light snacks. A crew area near the start and finish will offer tent space for gear, food, and support.

Awards include trophies and a prize package for the most loops completed in male and female categories, plus a Spirit of the Pack award for the runner who best shows grit and community.
