The Mangy Coyote Backyard Ultra

The Mangy Coyote Backyard Ultra is scheduled at Trenton Park, Nova Scotia, on Saturday, October 24, 2026 (TBC). The event is a fundraiser for Pictou County United Way and follows a casual backyard ultramarathon format focused on repeating loops over a set period.

Runners repeat a loop for 13 hours, continuing until the timed period ends or they withdraw. Loop distance is to be confirmed; the current estimate is 4–6 km with approximately 40–60 m of elevation. The course mixes groomed double‑wide gravel trails and more technical singletrack.

On course support is minimal by design. The aid station provides hydration, light snacks, and basic necessities. A crew area with tent space is available near the start and finish for personal gear and support. Divisions include Most Loops Completed for men and women, with a trophy and prize package, plus a Spirit of the Pack award. The event policy states no refunds will be issued.
