The Hampshire Hoppit is a trail running event held on Sunday 14 June 2026 on Watership Down at the Hampshire/Berkshire border. The event offers three single-lap races, each run mainly off road on clearly marked routes with marshals and occasional quiet road sections that are marshalled. Courses reach some of the highest points in Hampshire and include views across the county.

Course and logistics

The marathon and half marathon include sections of Watership Down, The Wayfarers Walk and The Harrow Way. The 10K is predominantly along the footpaths and trails of Watership Down. Routes use wide footpaths and have multiple water and feed stations. Start and finish are at Watership Down. Race parking is available in a large field near the village of Kingsclere, which lies between Basingstoke and Newbury with access from the M3, M4 and A34.

Entries and services

Entry prices vary by event and by affiliated or unaffiliated status. Minimum ages are 18 for the marathon, 17 for the half marathon, and 16 for the 10K. Entry includes a goody bag, finishers medal, free professional race photographs, keepsake beer glass and a choice of real ale or soft drink, chip timing, prizes, professionally managed road crossings, free parking and a Race HQ field with on-site beverages and services.
