The Hampshire Hoppit

The Hampshire Hoppit offers three scenic single-lap trail races that start and finish at Watership Down on the Hampshire/Berkshire border. The marathon and half marathon include sections of Watership Down, The Wayfarers Walk and The Harrow Way. The 10K is predominantly along the footpaths and trails of Watership Down.

All courses reach some of the highest points in Hampshire with panoramic views. Routes are mostly off road on wide footpaths; there are occasional quiet road sections that will be marshalled. Race facilities and services include chip timing, multiple water and feed stations, professionally managed road crossings, free parking, race prizes and sponsor prizes. Entry includes a goody bag, a high quality finishers medal, free professional race photographs, a keepsake beer glass and a choice of real ale or soft drink. Race HQ is a field with beverages and services for participants.

Runners choose from the following distances:

Entry options distinguish affiliated and unaffiliated runners with minimum ages and different fees. Sample tariffs for 2027: marathon unaffiliated £66 (minimum age 18), marathon affiliated £64 (minimum age 18); half marathon unaffiliated £58 / affiliated £56 (minimum age 17); 10K unaffiliated £37 / affiliated £35 (minimum age 16).
