The Hampshire Hoppit

The Hampshire Hoppit is a collection of trail races held near Kingsclere in Hampshire. The event offers multiple distances on clearly marked, single-lap routes that are run mainly off road. Marshals are positioned along the course to assist runners.

The races start and finish at the top of White Hill. Race parking is available in a large field close to the event area. The village of Kingsclere lies midway between Basingstoke and Newbury on the A339, with road access from the M3, M4 and A34.

The event is organised by BMHAC, a local athletics club based in North Hampshire. Information provided for the event includes route maps, a photo gallery, results, an FAQ, volunteer details, race permits and a hot weather policy.

Trail runs nearby

Run a flexible distance along Winchester's scenic Itchen Way. Choose your laps from 2.62 miles up to an ultra within a 7-hour window, with a famous aid station and a finisher's medal for all.

Basingstoke Pretty Muddy 5k on 24 May 2026 is a 5k obstacle course at War Memorial Park featuring muddy climbs, crawls and slides. Waves start every 15 minutes and participants must be at least 13 years old.

A 10 km trail race at Marlow Rugby Club on May 25, part of the Ales & Trails series, featuring trails, woodland and Thames towpath. Entry includes a medal, a Rebellion pint cup and a free drink at the finish.

A 50 km multi terrain ultramarathon around Maidenhead, run on a single lap route that follows the Thames Path and Jubilee River. The course is mostly off road with four aid stations, chip timing, live tracking and free race photos.
