The Hampshire Hoppit is a trail running event held on Sunday 14 June 2026. Races start and finish at Watership Down on the Hampshire/Berkshire border, near the village of Kingsclere. Kingsclere is located between Basingstoke and Newbury with road access from the M3, M4 and A34.

Course and race format

All courses are single-lap routes, mostly off-road on wide footpaths and trails. The marathon and half marathon include sections of Watership Down, The Wayfarers Walk and The Harrow Way. The 10K is predominantly along footpaths and trails of Watership Down. Courses reach some of the highest points in Hampshire and include occasional quiet road sections that are marshalled. Routes are clearly marked and have marshals along the way.

Entries, age limits and services

Minimum ages are 18 for the marathon, 17 for the half marathon and 16 for the 10K. Entry tariffs listed are 61.00 and 63.00 for marathon affiliated and unaffiliated, 53.00 and 55.00 for half marathon affiliated and unaffiliated, and 32.00 and 34.00 for the 10K affiliated and unaffiliated. The entry price includes a goody bag, finishers medal, free professional photos, keepsake beer glass and a real ale or soft drink, chip timing, prizes, sponsor prizes, free parking, professionally managed road crossings, water/feed stations and a Race HQ field.
