The Hampshire Hoppit is a trail running event taking place on Sunday 14 June 2026 at Watership Down on the Hampshire/Berkshire border. The event is close to the village of Kingsclere, between Basingstoke and Newbury. It offers three race distances:
- Marathon - scenic single-lap, mainly off-road, includes Watership Down, Wayfarers Walk, Harrow Way
- Half Marathon - single-lap, mainly off-road, includes Watership Down and Wayfarers Walk
- 10K - predominantly along Watership Down footpaths, mainly off-road
Course and race details
All courses are single-lap and mostly off road on wide footpaths. They reach some of the highest points in Hampshire and include views across the county. Marshals are positioned along the routes and occasional quiet road sections are managed by marshals. The marathon and half marathon specifically include sections of Watership Down, The Wayfarers Walk and The Harrow Way; the 10K is mainly on Watership Down footpaths.
Entry includes a goody bag, a finishers medal, free professional race photographs, a keepsake beer glass and a drink (real ale or soft drink), chip timing, race prizes and sponsor prizes, ample water and feed stations, professionally managed road crossings, free parking, and Race HQ field services. Minimum ages are 18 for the marathon, 17 for the half marathon, and 16 for the 10K.
