Overview

The Fools Adventure is a 10-hour rogaine scheduled for March 29, 2026 in the Wayne, New Jersey area. The course covers roughly 8 square miles of North Jersey wilderness and includes more than 100 checkpoints (CPs). Checkpoints can be visited in any order. The exact course location will be revealed closer to race day. Entry price for the listed event is $35 and registration closes March 23, 2026.

Format and rules

Each CP will be marked by an orange ribbon with its ID number printed on it. To prove a visit, competitors may record the CP number on a passport, take a photo of the tag, or dictate the number into a phone and transcribe it later. Navigation is entirely on foot and GPS assistance is not allowed. All registrations are individual; additional information about teams will be released later.

Required equipment and provisions

Every racer must carry clothing appropriate for the day, a personal first-aid kit and whistle, a cell phone for emergencies, food and water sufficient for ten hours, and a compass plus the knowledge to use it.
