The Callous Crow

Porters Lake, Canada • 26 Apr 2025

The Callous Crow is a challenging 21-kilometer trail race held at Crowbar Lake Trail in Porters Lake, Nova Scotia. Known as one of the toughest half-marathons in the region, the course features rugged single-track trails with over 700 meters of elevation gain, technical terrain including roots, rocks, and steep ascents and descents. The race takes place within the Waverley - Salmon River Long Lake Wilderness Area, offering scenic views of old-growth forests and granite boulders. The event uses chip timing and includes two staggered start waves to reduce congestion. Proceeds support trail maintenance, and prizes are awarded to top finishers.
