The Ascent Red River Gorge 5K & 10K Trail Races
This event takes place on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the Natural Bridge Campground in Slade, Kentucky. It offers a 5K and a 10K trail race on private property within the Red River Gorge area. The event is presented by the Rugged Red Race & Adventure Series.
Participants can expect trail climbs and views of natural arches. The race is cupless, so participants must bring their own water bottle or hydration system. Water refills are available at the start and at points along the course. The time limit to complete either distance is four hours.
Packet pickup is available on the Friday before the race and on race morning at the campground pavilion. Online registration closes the Friday before the race; there is no race day registration.
