The Ascent Red River Gorge 5K & 10K Trail Races

The Ascent Red River Gorge 5K & 10K Trail Races take place on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Natural Bridge Campground in Slade, Kentucky. The event uses private property in the Red River Gorge and features hilly trail terrain with viewpoints and natural arches along the routes. The organizer notes a number of significant climbs on the courses.

Race features include commemorative poly/cotton T-shirts while supplies last, finishers medals for both distances, awards for top three male and female overall finishers in each race, free race photos, and on-site food and music. There is special pricing ($20) and a swag item for participants ages 12 to 18.

Logistics and policies are provided by the organizer: packet pickup is scheduled Friday, June 26 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at the Natural Bridge Campground pavilion, with a last-chance pickup on race morning at the same pavilion. The event is cupless for 2026; water is available at the start area and at several refill locations along the course. Online registration remains open until June 26 at midnight; there is no race day registration. A four-hour time limit applies to both distances.
