The Course

The event starts at the Tesoro Viejo Hub, located at the intersection of Highway 41 and Tesoro Viejo Blvd. The course runs through the Tesoro Viejo community. Participants can expect routes that include groomed trails, tree-lined lanes, bridges, and views of meadows and wetland preserves. The terrain differs by distance:

  • Half Marathon: Mostly on unpaved, groomed trails with mild rolling hills.
  • 10k Run: Features rolling hills.
  • 5k Run/Walk: The course is 95% paved and is stroller-friendly.

Participant Perks and Post-Race Festival

All registered participants receive a gender-specific performance shirt, a custom finisher's medallion, and access to a post-race festival. The festival includes hot cinnamon rolls, locally grown fruit, wine tasting, and a beer garden. Live music is provided by the band In Kahootz. Complimentary post-race massages are also offered.

A portion of the event's proceeds supports the Tesoro Viejo Conservancy, which works to preserve local land and wildlife. Packet pickup is available on the day before the race at Fleet Feet Fresno. Join the SJVDHA for their annual Pacing for Prevention 5K, supporting oral cancer research. Walk or run a paved, scenic trail that welcomes strollers and dogs. Connect with health professionals and participate in wellness activities.

Race straight up Pincushion Mountain in a one-mile timed hill climb. For a greater challenge, the Mountain Goat Edition lets you run multiple ascents within four hours. All finishers receive a custom award.
