Event

The TARCkey Trot is a timed trail running event held on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at Wright Locke Farm in Winchester, Massachusetts. The main format is a 6-hour timed race run on a repeated 5K loop. Online registration closes about one week before the event and no race day registration is offered. The entry fee is $35 with a youth discount available for participants 19 years old or under.

Course and race logistics

The course is marked with flagging and signs at major intersections. A GPX file and course maps are provided for navigation. There is an aid station inside the barn at the start/finish of each loop; this is a cupless event so participants must bring their own cup, bottle, or hydration vest. Aid station offerings include hydration options, fruit slices, candies, cookies, potato chips, peanut butter, and pickles.

Policies and accessibility

The event maintains a no-refund and no-transfer policy; deferrals are limited and may be allowed for pregnancy or emergencies. The organizers follow Leave No Trace principles and include a land acknowledgement for the original stewards of the territory. Adaptive athletes are welcome; tethers and guides, prosthetics, crutches, braces, or poles may be used as appropriate, with organizer approval.
