Tarckey Trot 6 Hour - Winchester, MA

The TARCkey Trot is a 6-hour timed trail race held on a 5K loop at Wright Locke Farm in Winchester, Massachusetts. Each loop runs on rocky, rolling singletrack and can be repeated as many times as a participant wishes within the six hour limit. Goats are present near the course.

The route is marked with flagging and signs at major intersections. Organizers provide course maps and a GPX file for GPS devices; participants who go off course must backtrack and GPS records may be reviewed. One aid station is located inside the barn at the start and finish of every loop. This is a cupless event so participants must bring their own hydration system. Aid station offerings include hydration products, water and ice, fruit, candies, cookies, chips, peanut butter, and pickles.

The event fee is $35 with a youth discount of $10 for runners 19 and under. Online registration typically closes about one week before the event, there is no race day registration, and entries are known to sell out. The race maintains a no refund policy with limited exceptions for emergencies; a pregnancy deferral policy allows deferral for up to two years with possible proof required.

The event follows Leave No Trace principles and includes a land acknowledgement for the Pawtucket people. Adaptive athletes are welcome with course requirements and possible guide or equipment provisions. The event is Trail Sisters Approved and partners with inclusivity programs.
