TARC Spring Classic

The Trail Animals Running Club presents the TARC Spring Classic on Saturday, April 24, 2027 in the Jericho Town Forest, Weston, Massachusetts. The event offers multiple looped trail distances and is held with a single start/finish area at 292 Concord Road, Weston.

Distances offered:

  • 10K
  • Half marathon
  • Marathon
  • 50K A free youth fun run is also noted.

The course is built from a bespoke 10K loop that participants repeat according to their chosen distance; the half marathon and marathon include additional trail mileage to approach the advertised distances. Organizers describe the route as relatively flat and smooth. The loop start and end host the course's only aid station. The course will be marked with flagging and signs at major intersections; participants are encouraged to review maps and use provided GPX files or GPS devices. If a runner goes off course they must backtrack and GPS files may be reviewed for compliance.

This is a cupless event; runners must carry their own hydration. The aid station offers vegan friendly options including hydration, fruit, packaged snacks, sandwiches, and other items. Food and drink donations are collected before the event and extra nonperishable items are donated to a local food pantry.

Registration details include a set entry fee, online registration only, no race day registration, and a strict no refund policy. Parking is in a grassy field at the start/finish and organizers recommend carpooling. The event follows Leave No Trace principles and includes accessibility provisions for adaptive athletes. Volunteers support bib pickup, course direction, aid station duties, sweeping, and parking. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
