TARC Spring Classic : overview

The TARC Spring Classic is a trail race held in the Jericho Town Forest in Weston, Massachusetts, with a start/finish at 292 Concord Road. The event offers the following distances:

• 50K A free youth fun run and discounted youth entries are offered. The standard entry fee across distances is $25 (youth discounts apply). Online registration closes before race week, there is no race-day registration, and the event can sell out. The general refund policy is no refunds, no transfers, and no deferrals except in emergency circumstances; a pregnancy deferral option is available for up to two years.

Course, logistics and policies

The course is described as relatively flat and smooth and is built from a 10K loop that participants run multiple times depending on chosen distance; the loop start/end hosts the course aid station. Trails will be marked with flagging and signs at major intersections. The race is cupless, so participants must bring their own hydration system. Organizers recommend reviewing course maps and loading the GPX file onto a GPS device if available.

Parking is in the grassy field at the start/finish with volunteers directing vehicles; additional nearby parking may require a short walk. Carpooling is recommended. Crew access is limited to the start/finish aid station, and pacers are not allowed. Adaptive athletes are welcome if they can run the course; tethers, guides, leg prosthetics, and mobility aids may be used with approval where required. The event follows a Leave No Trace policy and accepts food and drink donations for aid stations; nonperishable extras are donated to a food pantry.
