Tanri Lake Race

Tanri Lake Race : Miramonte, CA (August 29, 2026)

Tanri Lake Race takes place in Miramonte, CA and offers multiple event formats around a looped course at approximately 6,000 feet elevation. The event includes relay, individual and 10K options plus a visitor day pass. Registration for each entry includes a Tanri hat and a Saturday dinner.

Distances and loop details:

• 5 miles per lap for relay and individual races
• 6.2 miles one-loop 10K around the lake

Relay teams must consist of three runners. Each team member completes four laps in the same order as the first lap; any deviation from that order results in disqualification. When a team member crosses the finish of a lap, the next runner may begin from behind the start line. There is a race cutoff that affects the start of the final lap for the first runner. The relay has no separate men’s or women’s divisions; prize money is awarded to the top three teams.

The individual event is a timed endurance race in which entrants complete as many 5-mile laps as possible during the event window. Only individual entrants are eligible for the Western States raffle and must complete at least eight laps to qualify. Raffle ticket allocation increases for consecutive years of participation, up to three years. The 10K has men’s and women’s divisions and awards prizes to the top finishers.
