Tally in the Valley Trail Race 2026
The event takes place at Dundas Valley Conservation Area in Hamilton, Ontario. The race is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario. Race headquarters moved to the Trail Centre and the course will be run counter clockwise this year.
Participants run a 7 km loop through Carolinian forest on groomed double track with rolling hills and roughly 130 m of elevation gain per loop. The first 2 km follow a rail trail and are slightly downhill and exposed. The midsection includes runnable rolling hills and the most demanding 2 to 2.5 km of the loop returns runners to the Trail Centre.

- 7 km one loop
- 21 km three loops with a 4 hour cutoff
- 100 miles 23 loops over 30 hours
- 6 hour 12 hour and 24 hour timed events
- Gong Show elimination with a 7 km loop every hour
Aid stations and services
There is an aid station at the start/finish offering water, an electrolyte drink, sweet and salty snacks, PB and J sandwiches, pickles and chips; menu items may change. Portable toilets will be available. A self serve water station is placed about halfway on the loop. Events are cup less so runners need a collapsible cup or bottle.
Additional notes
La Sportiva will bring a demo fleet of shoes and giveaways. THN Labs will supply gels in race kits and at aid stations; gels list four ingredients: maple syrup, tahini, sea salt, and rowanberry extract. Runners completing 23 loops (100 miles) receive a custom belt buckle; other finishers receive a custom medal. T shirt orders close July 1.
