Tally in the Valley Trail Race 2026 : Dundas Valley Conservation Area

The event takes place at Dundas Valley Conservation Area in Hamilton, Ontario on July 25 and 26, 2026. Runners follow a 7 km loop through Carolinian forest, mostly on groomed double track trails with rolling hills. Each loop has roughly 130 m of elevation gain.

The 7 km loop runs counter-clockwise in 2026. The first 2 km are on a rail trail with a slight downhill and limited shade. After leaving the rail trail there is a short steep descent to the course low point, followed by about 2.5 km of mostly small rolling hills, then a final 2 to 2.5 km of the most demanding rolling sections before returning to the Trail Centre, which serves as race headquarters.

Available formats include:

  • 7 km single loop
  • 21 km three loops
  • 100 miles through 23 loops 161 km
  • 6 hour, 12 hour, and 24 hour timed races
  • The Gong Show elimination event

One aid station is located at the start/finish area with water, an electrolyte drink, various sweet and salty snacks, PB and J sandwiches, pickles, chips, and portable toilets. A self-serve water station will be placed near the halfway point. Events are cup-less so runners must bring a collapsible cup or bottle.

The event is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario. Partners include shoe demos and giveaways plus a local nutrition company supplying gels with four ingredients listed in the race kit. Refund, transfer, and pacer rules vary by event and are specified by the organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
