Tails, Trails, and Ales in Chattanooga

Tails, Trails and Ales is a dog-friendly trail event held in Chattanooga, Tennessee on November 7, 2026. The event was postponed from April 25, 2026 to November 7, 2026. All proceeds benefit Reflection Riding. Organizers and hosts include Nooga Paws, Bad Beard Events, and Reflection Riding, with presentation by Mountain View Auto Group and several local sponsors.

Participants can choose among the following distances:

The event offers timed and untimed options. One dog per participant is allowed and 6 ft leashes are required. The course includes dog-friendly aid stations. The event is cupless; dog bowls will be provided. Every human finisher receives race swag and every dog receives a bandana. A post-event celebration features local craft beer, food, and pet-friendly vendors.

Packet pickup is available the evening before at Nooga Paws and on event day at Reflection Riding; locations are provided in event materials. The route uses natural trails at Reflection Riding, and the event statement emphasizes movement, human-dog bonding, and support for local businesses and conservation through fundraising for Reflection Riding. A low key social trail run at Lula Lake Land Trust offering 5K and 15K courses. The 5K is relatively easy while the 15K includes a rope section and a steep descent to Lula Falls. Proceeds benefit Lula Lake Land Trust.

Vol State is a self supported ultrarun beginning with a ferry crossing and finishing atop Sand Mountain, GA, covering 314 miles. It includes a bus and hotel registration option and requires twice daily location check ins.

Trail races at Enterprise South Nature Park in Chattanooga feature a half marathon and a 10K on wide, gently rolling pedestrian trails with the half marathon continuing onto non-technical wooded bike trails. Proceeds support Wild Trails.

Timed trail event at Reflection Riding Arboretum on a 2.1-mile loop (about 190 ft gain) with 3-, 6- and 9-hour options. Aid station and self-crew area; 2026 plans include a Wild Trails partnership with camping and a Sunday 5K or half marath..
