Bridle Trails State Park is about a square mile of upland forest with wetlands, dozens of miles of trails, and four horse arenas. The park sits at about 500 feet above sea level and is usually snow-free and accessible year-round.

Course, aid stations and practical information

All races use mostly the same looped trails. The 5 km is a counterclockwise loop that shortens the longer 6.55-mile loop. The 10 km follows the 6.55-mile loop once. The Half Marathon is two laps of the 6.55-mile loop; the Marathon is four laps. Trails are mostly medium-width or wide and smooth, with low to moderate climb, a few steeper slopes, and some narrower rocky or rooty sections.

Aid stations are located at the start/finish and approximately midway through the loop. Marathon runners will pass seven aid stops, Half Marathon runners three, 10 km runners one, and 5 km runners will not pass an on-course aid station. Aid supplies include water, Skratch Labs electrolyte drink, and assorted carbohydrate or salty foods.

A Discover Pass is required to park inside the park; single-day and annual pass prices are listed by the park. Youth runners in elementary, middle, or high school qualify for a $10 registration discount. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
