Southern Lights Stroll 5K
The Southern Lights Stroll 5K takes place on November 21, 2026 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky. The event includes two options over the same 5K course: a competitive chip-timed race and an untimed, non-competitive stroll. The competitive 5K is chip timed by Bluegrass Timing and will present awards for Top 3 men and women overall plus awards across ten age groups.
Both options use the same course and finish in the Southern Lights Holiday Village. The route for 2026 is described as new for this year and is routed through the park’s holiday light displays. The start area is located in front of the Kentucky Horse Park and the finish is inside the Holiday Village.
Additional event features take place in the Holiday Village and include seasonal activities such as photos with Santa, Tootie’s Peppermint Café, mini train rides, music, and lighting displays. Event shirts are available to a limited number of adult registrants. Children receive reduced pricing for ages 7 to 12, and children 6 and under may participate free in the stroll.
