The Southern Lights Stroll 5K takes place on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY (4089 Iron Works Pike, 40511). The event includes two options: a 5K competitive run with chip timing and an untimed 5K stroll. The competitive run is open to participants aged 7 and older. Registration prices listed are $40 for the competitive run and $35 for the untimed stroll. Children 12 and under may participate free.
Logistics and features
The event uses a new route for 2025, with the start line in front of the Kentucky Horse Park Visitors Center and the finish inside the Holiday Village. Packet pickup is available at the Visitor Information Center at the Kentucky Horse Park on the days before and the day of the event. Limited-edition event shirts are reserved for the first 2,000 adults registered. The Holiday Village at the finish area includes photos with Santa, Tootie’s Peppermint Café, mini train rides, music, and light displays. Dogs are allowed on the course if kept on a leash.
