The Southern Grit Endurance Challenge takes place April 18-19, 2026 in Parksville, KY at the Rousey Home Place (4170 Butchertown Road). The event features timed running and rucking events on a looped course in northern Casey County, in the Knobs region where wooded hills meet farmland.

Logistics and rules

A full-service main aid station is located at the start/finish area. Water and Tailwind are available on the course. The event is cup-free; participants must bring their own hydration system. Laps are chip-timed and visible race bibs are required for lap credit. Course crossings are marked with flags and tape. Headlamps are required for nighttime running. Pacing and crewing are allowed. Unsportsmanlike conduct, course cutting, littering, or policy violations may result in disqualification. The property is not accessible before race day.

Primitive camping is available onsite with tent spaces up to 10' x 10'; restrooms are provided but no showers. Packet pickup is scheduled in Downtown Stanford on the Friday before the event. The ruck division requires carried weight based on body mass (participants over 150 lb: 20 lb; under 150 lb: 10 lb) and weights must be non-consumable plates or equivalent.
