South Texas Ultra - Leakey TX Trail Run
The South Texas Ultra is a trail running event at the H.W. Lewis Ranch in the Texas Hill Country near Leakey, Texas. The venue uses ranch trails with rugged rocky sections plus stretches of dirt and grass ATV trails. The course for longer distances follows a roughly 10.8 mile loop; the event lists an STU climb of about 780 feet per loop and the 50K accumulates over 2850 feet of elevation gain.

Aid stations are placed on the loop and provide hot and cold foods, snacks, water, electrolytes, pickle juice and ice. Main aid and Lewis hydration stations are listed at loop mile markers; water and ice are available at the water station. Drop bag transport to aid stations is not provided; drop bags may be left at the start and finish area. For races 17K and longer, a minimum 32 ounce carrying system and a headlamp are required. Pacers are allowed for the 50K final loop. Ruck entries have weight rules based on participant weight.
Onsite camping is available near the start and finish; campsite reservations are offered during registration for a fee. A $10 ranch parking fee is collected in cash at entry. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
