SOO 200
SOO 200 takes place on September 11, 2026 at 194 Pickard Road, Goulais River, Ontario. The event is presented as Eastern Canada's first 200 miler and is described as a sister event to The Divide 200. It acknowledges the traditional territory of the Anishnaabeg and the Métis People in the Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma area.
New course revisions introduce multiple distance options. The 100 miler and the 50k start at Stokely Creek Lodge. The 100k consists of two loops of the 50k course, starting and ending at Stokely Creek Lodge.
The course surface is a combination of single track, double track, dirt road, cross-country and sections requiring bushwhacking. Although the course is prescribed, there are short sections that require route-finding.
On the 200 mile course, checkpoints are placed approximately every 20 to 40 km depending on the section. Competitors in the 200 mile are required to carry a Garmin inReach provided by the organizer for route-finding and safety. A payment plan is available for the 200 mile with a 50% deposit option; the balance has a due date and a late payment may incur a 10% price increase. A 10% non-refundable fee applies.
