SoCalUltraTrail at Tejon Ranch is a trail running event held at the Tejon Ranch Equestrian Center in Lebec, California. The race takes place entirely on trails and fire roads within Tejon Ranch, on private land north of Los Angeles and near Interstate 5. Terrain includes canyons, creeks, oak-filled canyons, rolling sagebrush plains, and views toward the Tehachapi range and high desert. Wildlife commonly observed on course may include elk, mule deer, wild turkey, boar, black bear, bobcat, coyotes, raptors and ranch cattle. Race-day temperatures are typically in the low 40s to 60 degrees.

  • 100k - 61.6 miles, 11,903' elevation gain, maximum elevation about 6,150'.
  • 50k - 32.49 miles, 5,473' elevation gain, includes Grapevine switchback climb.
  • 25k - 15.86 miles, 2,858' elevation gain, Castac Lake foothill and canyon course.
  • 11k - 6.96 miles, 944' elevation gain, local foothill route.

The event uses fully marked courses for daytime and night running, chip timing and live tracking. Aid stations are stocked and staffed, with several locations offering drop-bag and crew access on the ultra distances. Overnight camping is available for tents, vans and RVs; a finish festival offers food service and a beer garden (21+).
