Snoqualmie Tunnel Glow Run

The Snoqualmie Tunnel Glow Run takes place on Saturday, July 11, 2026, on the Palouse to Cascades State Park trail at the Hyak Trailhead parking area in Snoqualmie Pass, WA. The event is an all-ages walk or run that passes through the historic Snoqualmie tunnel. LED lighting will partially illuminate the tunnel and course; participants are advised to bring a personal flashlight or headlamp and additional glow gear if desired.

The course is a loop that starts and ends at the Hyak Trailhead parking lot. The route begins about half a mile outside the tunnel, continues approximately one mile into the tunnel, then turns around and returns to the start. The surface is compacted gravel and the tunnel is cool year round, around 50 degrees, so a long-sleeved shirt or light jacket is suggested.

Participants are organized into two waves: a runners only wave that requires the ability to complete a 5K in under 45 minutes, and a joggers/walkers/strollers wave. Strollers are allowed. Bikes are not part of the event though they may be present in the public park. Children four and under are free and do not need to register. Dogs are not allowed.

Optional event add-ons include a race T-shirt, LED gloves, and a participation medal. Race merchandise is available for pickup onsite the day of the event. Parking is available at the Hyak Trailhead lot, which requires a Discover Pass, and at the Summit East Lower Lot, a short walk from the event.
