Six Dales Circuit
The Six Dales Circuit is a Long Distance Walkers Association challenge event organised by the Staffordshire local group. The route is a circular walk of 25 miles with a 10-hour time limit, starting from Biggin Village Hall near Hartington.
The course passes through Biggin Dale, Wolfscote Dale, Beresford Dale, Hartington (checkpoint 1), Monyash (checkpoint 2), Lathkill Dale, Bradford Dale, Middleton (checkpoint 3), Long Dale and returns to Biggin. Checkpoint opening hours are: CP1 08:30–10:30, CP2 10:00–14:00 and CP3 11:00–15:30.
Entrants receive a route description, certificate, snacks and drinks at checkpoints, and a light meal and drinks at the finish. Entry fees are £12 for LDWA members and £20 for non-members. Entries are limited to 200 and open on 1 August 2026.
Required equipment includes waterproofs, compass, whistle, torch, map OL24 and a mug. Dogs are allowed only if kept on short leads, must not enter any halls and their handlers are responsible for any damage. Retirements must be made at checkpoints only.
