Courses and distances

The festival offers trail courses that use the Pacific Crest Trail and many popular Ashland-area routes. The 100K is a loop starting near Mt Ashland Lodge, descends into the Ashland Creek Watershed, climbs to the high country and ridge connecting Wagner Butte to the Siskiyou Crest, follows the Split Rock trail to the PCT, runs the final 25 miles of the 50K course along the Siskiyou Crest, then returns with a final climb to the top of Mt Ashland and a steep descent to the Lodge finish. The 50K is an out-and-back on the PCT with some gravel road and finishes with a run to the top of Mt Ashland and a descent to the finish. The shorter courses start at the Mt. Ashland ski parking lot, follow a Forest Service road to the PCT at Grouse Gap, and use a turnaround at Willamette Meridian (15K) or return from Grouse Gap (8K).
