Silent Pool 10km

This is a guided trail run that starts and finishes at Silent Pool car park in Albury, near Guildford. The event offers a 10 km route on a mix of wide forest tracks and narrower single-track trails. The course uses sections of the North Downs Way and runs through the Netley Heath forest before descending to the village of Shere, passing several local film locations.

Two dates are listed for 2026: Tuesday 3 March 2026 and Tuesday 8 September 2026. The stated cost is £16 per person. Car parking is available at the meeting location. The run is organised as a group activity rather than a race; participants should be able to maintain an average pace around 10 minutes per mile (6 minutes per km) for sustained periods on trail and have a suitable level of fitness.

A qualified guide and coach will lead the group and provide route direction and basic guidance. A full kit list will be supplied in advance. Silva head torches and Salomon trail shoes may be available to test on the run. Night sessions are described as running by headtorch in a group environment during darker months, while sunset sessions occur during lighter months and offer running at dusk with views and warmer temperatures.

An alcohol-free beer from Athletic Brewing Company may be available at the end of the run, subject to availability. Further logistical information will be provided to participants before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
