Silent Pool 10km

Albury, United Kingdom • 3 Mar 2026

Event overview

Silent Pool 10km is a guided trail run that starts and finishes at Silent Pool Car Park, Albury, Guildford. The event is offered on two dates in 2026: Tuesday 3 March and Tuesday 8 September. The advertised distance is 10 km and the listed cost is £16 per person. A car park is available at the meeting point.

Route, format and logistics

The route uses parts of the North Downs Way, runs through the forest of Netley Heath and drops down to the village of Shere, passing several known film locations. The run is organised as a group activity rather than a race; participants should be able to sustain an average trail pace of about 10 minutes per mile (approximately 6 min/km). Sessions are described as either sunset runs in the lighter months or night runs by headtorch in darker months. A full kit list is provided before the event. Organisers offer Silva head torches to trial and Salomon trail shoes to test. An alcohol-free beer from Athletic Brewing Company may be available at the end of the run, subject to availability. The run is led by a qualified guide who is a Salomon and Suunto ambassador, a mountain leader and a coach. Further event information and detailed instructions are provided to participants in advance.
