Silent Pool 10km

Event details

This is a guided trail run that starts and finishes at Silent Pool Car Park, Albury, Guildford. The run takes place on two dates in 2026: Tuesday 3 March and Tuesday 8 September. Distance: 10 km. Entry cost is £16 per person. A car park is available at the meeting point. The event is run as a group rather than a race; participants should be able to comfortably maintain an average pace of about 10 minutes per mile (6 minutes per km) on trail for prolonged periods and have a suitable level of fitness.

Route and logistics

The route uses sections of the North Downs Way, passes through Netley Heath forest and drops down to the village of Shere, including some film locations. The course includes both wide trails and single-track sections. Runs in the lighter months are scheduled as sunset runs; runs in darker months are night runs using headtorches in a group setting. A full kit list will be provided before the event. Silva head torches and Salomon trail shoes are available to trial on the run. The meeting location is described as easily accessed by car, just outside Guildford. A non-alcoholic beer may be available at the end of the run, subject to availability.
