Seagrave Wolds Challenge 2026

The twenty second edition of the Seagrave Wolds Challenge is a cross country run and walk through the Leicestershire Wolds countryside. The route changes each year but is typically around 16 miles, running over hilly, multi terrain ground and using public footpaths and sections of private land.

The event is framed as a personal test against the distance, terrain and weather rather than a race. Well behaved dogs are welcome. Food and drink stops are provided on the route, and finish refreshments include cobs, cakes and the Seagrave apple crumbles.

Entrants must be at least 10 years old. Participants under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult. The field is limited to a maximum of 700 entrants. Transfers close on 01/11/2026 and entries close on 31/10/2026.

The event starts and finishes at Seagrave War Memorial Hall, Green Lane, Seagrave, Leicestershire LE12 7LU. Entry fees for the event are listed as follows: adults aged 16 to 64 pay £28.00, adults over 65 pay £15.00, and under 16s pay £15.00 when accompanied. Proceeds are donated to local charities including Seagrave Village Church, the Memorial Hall and School, and the Royal British Legion.
