Seagrave Wolds Challenge 2026

The Seagrave Wolds Challenge takes place on Saturday 7 November 2026 at Seagrave War Memorial Hall in Leicestershire. It is a cross country run and walk across the Leicestershire Wolds countryside using footpaths and sections of private land.

The route changes annually but is typically about 16 miles, hilly and multi terrain. The event is framed as a personal challenge against the terrain, the weather and the distance rather than a race. Well behaved dogs are welcome. Food and drink stops are provided on the route and at the finish competitors are served cobs, cakes and the Seagrave apple crumbles.

Entry is limited to a maximum of 700 participants. The minimum age is 10 years and entrants under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult. Entries close on 31 October 2026 and transfer requests close on 1 November 2026. Entry fees are listed by age group, for example adult (16 to 64 years) £28, over 65s £15 and under 16s £15 when accompanied by an adult.

Proceeds from the event are donated to several local charities including Seagrave Village Church, the Memorial Hall and School, and the Royal British Legion. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
