Third Annual SCTC 5K Turkey Trot

The Third Annual SCTC Turkey Trot is scheduled for Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2026, at Santa Clarita Central Park in Santa Clarita, California. The event is organized by the Santa Clarita Track Club and benefits the club’s cross country and track and field programs. It invites community members of all ages to run, walk, or jog.

The main course is a 5K cross country loop that begins on fields 9 and 10, winds through the hills overlooking the park, and finishes back at fields 9 and 10. A separate 1K event is offered for children 10 and under and parents and follows a short route around fields 9 and 10.

Medals are given to the first 600 competitors. Registration is available online or at the race start, and the stated entry fee is $35 per runner. The venue address is 27150 Bouquet Canyon Rd, Santa Clarita, CA 91350.

Phoenix Rising features 5k, 10k, 15k and half marathon distances on marked out and back loops in Griffith Park on June 13, 2026. The course uses hard packed dirt trails with an aid station at the turnaround.

A community July 4 event in Newhall Park featuring a flat, paved 5K along the parade route, a Kid K, and a Masters Mile Walk, with shirts, medals, an expo, and awards benefiting local high school cross-country programs.
