The Smurf Run is a 7-hour time challenge held at Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club, Riverside, Egham TW20 0AA. The next scheduled race date is 16/11/2025. Entry at the member price of £23.00 is available only to members; members are guaranteed entry and receive a mini-me medal pin at events they attend. Number pick up is on the day at race registration. Headphones are allowed.

This event awards a Smurf-themed medal to any finisher who completes at least 3 km. Distance pins are given for longer achievements, including half-marathon, mega-half, marathon, 50 km and ultra distances. Special-event runners (for milestone events) can receive a personalised race number with their event date.

Course, distances, facilities and support

The course runs along a stretch of the River Thames and is fully signed. Surfaces are mainly made paths and tarmac with a very short grass section; road shoes are suitable year round. The regular lap is 7 km (4.37 miles) but may change to a 3.28 mile loop depending on conditions. Turn points at 3 km and 5 km are provided.

Facilities include toilets, changing, a cafe, an unmanned bag drop, and a pay-on-exit car park at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds. An aid and drinks table is available at the start/finish area with a mix of savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items. Events are on public footpaths; other path users may be present.
