Event

The Eggcellent Easter Pink Run is the second day of a five-day series and takes place on Friday, 03 April 2026 at Wraysbury Skiff & Punting Club, Egham (Runnymede Pleasure Grounds). It is a 7-hour timed challenge that lets participants choose how far to run. The event is open to walkers and runners. Maximum entry is 300 and the minimum age is 12 years.

Course and facilities

The course runs along a stretch of the River Thames and is fully signed. About 60% is on well-made path or tarmac; the rest is grass and light trail that can get muddy. Road shoes can be used year round; trail shoes are an option for extra grip. The regular course may change after a health and safety review or final landowner approval. An aid and drinks table is available at the start/finish of each lap with savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items. Toilets and changing facilities are at the race HQ, which also has a cafe. Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive an Easter egg themed medal and a goody bag; a vegan goody bag option is available. Distance pins are provided for half-marathon and longer achievements. A bag drop is available but not secure. Headphones are allowed. Parking is pay-on-exit at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds.

Entry and rules

Entries close 02/04/2026. Transfers are allowed online for £2.50 up to the day before the event; a deferral to another event is available for £18. Anyone wishing to run over 45 km must be at least 20 years old; 18- and 19-year-olds may run up to 45 km. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

Trail runs nearby

Trail running on 31 January 2026 at Hound House Road in Surrey with 10 km and 15 km routes over hilly mixed terrain. Parking, toilets and refreshments are available; entries close 29 January 2026.

Guided 10 km trail run around the Devil's Punchbowl in Hindhead, with summer sunset runs and headtorch group night runs in darker months. Social pace, great views and the chance to try trail gear.

The Pilgrim Challenge will take place in Farnham from Saturday 7 February 2026 to Sunday 8 February 2026. You can run 66 miles.

Drama Llama Run on the Thames towpath offers timed laps on a flat 5.3 km out and back course with a seven hour limit and a flexible start window. Pick 5 km to ultra and enjoy race support, same day results and a finisher medal.
